How to set the correct scale

There are 2 ways to set the correct scale for a page, we will explain them both in this article. It is best practice to always check the scale is correct before you start your takeoff. You can do this by selecting the ‘length tool’ and making a measurement over a known measurement on your plan.

Method 1:

Enter the scale that is written on your plan in the box in the bottom left corner of the screen as shown below. Once they match, you can then check if the scale is correct by using the method I mentioned above. If they do not match, please proceed to method no 2 below.

If for some reason the measurements are incorrect, maybe it’s a scanned or copied plan - we have a system to calibrate the scale to the page.

Method 2:

• Press ‘Find Scale’ in the bottom left corner of the screen

• You will be prompted to make a measurement over a ‘know measurement’ on your plan
